Unexpecting the expected

Devin’s cryptozoology obsession urges her to investigate ghouls known throughout her area. However, she is met with failure. Devin represses those failures with determination, while her reluctant companion Belvedere follows along.

This is my senior capstone film from my undergrad at Pratt Institute. I was ambitious making this film all on my own, essentially trying to make my own pilot. I learned a lot about producing a film all on your own, and in hindsight I should’ve pulled back on my ideas a bit more. But, in the end I focused more on the visuals of the film in post-production, discovering my love for After Effects and compositing in the process.
